Webinar Recap – Nonprofits & Fraud: Protecting the People You Serve

This webinar entitled “Nonprofits & Fraud: Protecting the People You Serve,” was originally produced on Thursday, May 25, 2017. We hope that you enjoy the full recording of the presentation and additional resources offered below.

This webinar was hosted by McKonly & Asbury Partner Janice Snyder and Principals, Jim Shellenberger and David Hammarberg.

This presentation highlighted statistics for security and fraud of non-profit organizations. The webinar reviewed three non-profit case studies and the best practices that would have prevented a fraud or data breach event from occurring. We looked into how you protect your most valuable assets (employees, donors, the people you serve, etc.) and what it is that you have that fraudsters want.

During this webinar, attendees learned about the following:

  • Why their organization could be highly sought after by fraudsters and attackers.
  • Gained an understanding of the applicable risks for their organization.
  • Best practices for preventing a fraud or data security event within a non-profit organization.
