Registration is now open for McKonly & Asbury’s next Affordable Housing Seminar to be held on Friday, June 19, 2015.
Topics and speakers to include:
Tax Credit Hot Topics – Judy Crosby, Esq. from Kutak Rock will speak about “Tax Credit Hot Topics” including legislative updates relating to the low-income housing tax credit program. Judy will also discuss the impact of the new IRS audit guide and where the industry is heading on topics such as construction loan interest and relocation costs. Judy was a popular speaker at our spring seminar last year and we are excited to welcome her back!
LIHTC News From PHFA’s Perspective – Holly Glauser, Director of Development at the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, will speak on recent low-income housing tax credit news from PHFA’s perspective. Holly is always a popular speaker and we look forward to her update from PHFA!
Qualifying Units in an Occupied Rehabilitation Development – Judy Crosby will address this complex topic including walking us through an example from the Guide for Completing Form 8823.
Financial Statements from PHFA’s Perspective – A member of PHFA’s Housing Management Division will talk about common financial statement findings and how to avoid them.
Affordable Housing in Cumberland County – Jonathan Bowser, CEO and Mary Kuna, Market Development Manager of the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation will offer insight regarding locations in Cumberland County seeing the most economic and population growth making them ripe for affordable housing development.
Audit Update – Gary Dubas, Partner, and Jim Shellenberger, Senior Manager at McKonly & Asbury will provide insight about how to have a smooth audit.
