October Webinar – Professional Ethics: An Introduction to the Revised Code of Professional Conduct
McKonly & Asbury is pleased to announce our next webinar entitled “Professional Ethics: An Introduction to the Revised Code of Professional Conduct” which is taking place on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
This webinar will be hosted by Mike Hoffner, partner with McKonly & Asbury along with Dan Sturm, principal with McKonly & Asbury, and will introduce the audience to the structure and background of the new AICPA revised Code of Professional Conduct, provide information on how the AICPA derived the new format, and offer a roadmap of next steps expected from the AICPA on this topic.
The revised Code of Professional Conduct was launched in June 2014 as a result of a project undertaken by the AICPA to make things clearer, better defined, and simpler to search when CPA’s have questions on these types of matters. Most significantly, the AICPA has carved the code into 3 sections that the audience will learn about:
- One specific to members in public practice
- One to members working in business and industry
- One to all others including retirees
