McKonly & Asbury Announces Plans to Divest of Governmental Practice Group

Camp Hill - McKonly & Asbury, LLP , a regional accounting and consulting firm, announces plans to divest of its Governmental Audit and Accounting Services Group. The firm has reached an agreement with Pittsburgh-based Maher Duessel, which will acquire the governmental audit and accounting practice of McKonly & Asbury. Tracey L. Rash, CPA, CGFM, currently a partner with McKonly & Asbury and leader of the governmental services team for the past six years, will become a partner with Maher Duessel. The agreement will be effective June 30 th of this year.

The governmental practice will be served by former team members from McKonly & Asbury who will join Maher Duessel. No positions will be eliminated in this agreement. Based in Western Pennsylvania , Maher Duessel is a leader in providing services to governmental organizations. They plan to open an office in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania .

We will also continue our focus on industries that are integral to our practice, such as: Manufacturing & Distribution, Real Estate & Affordable Housing, Construction, and large Not-for-Profits.”

Going forward, McKonly & Asbury will not be providing governmental audit services.
