This year’s conference will discuss current trends, updates, and tools nonprofits need to know.

Featured topics and speakers include:

  • Legal Update and Perspective for Nonprofit Organizations – Janice Anderson of the Law Office of Janice L. Anderson.
    This session will help attendees: understand when your organization should register to raise funds; understand when (or why) a state will fine a charity; learn the ways to avoid problems relating to charity fundraising; and understand other legal matters impacting charities.
  • Accounting and Tax Update – Gary Dubas, Janice Snyder, and Jim Shellenberger with McKonly & Asbury.
    This session will include: a review of recently issued technical pronouncements; an overview of new not-for-profit financial reporting standards; and tips and tricks for the IRS form 990.
  • Information Technology, Cyber Security, and Fraud Risk Assessment – David Hammarberg and Samuel BowerCraft with McKonly & Asbury.
    This session will focus on: understanding the importance of risk assessment in your organization; learning how fraud and security risk assessment works and can benefit an organization; and an understanding of cybersecurity and the basic requirements for any organization.
