2008 Externship Program - Choose Your Path:
Our Externship Program is designed to give you an opportunity to experience and learn more about our culture at McKonly & Asbury, while still allowing you to work a full-time summer job. Our program is a series of five events taking place from May 2008 to August 2008. At the close of the program, some students may receive an internship or job offer.
The events include:
Kick-off mixer - an introduction to the program and meeting with firm leaders
Office tours and introduction to a “buddy” who will be partnered with you during the externship program
Two evening events - networking with our staff and Partners
A day of shadowing (half day in the office; half day in the field at a client site)
Our Internship Program is designed to give you a feel for what it is like to work at McKonly & Asbury. These semester-long posts allow students to put their education to use and include training and use of various software packages including specific audit and tax software.
This is a paid position.
We anticipate that the internship would include the following:
Completion of “mock audit workpapers and tax return” (part of our orientation program for entry level staff accountants). This includes review notes by a supervisor.
Assistance in audit planning for fiscal year audit clients.
Participation in audit or other client service field work.
Other accounting-related projects.
We will accept applications through November 30, 2008 for 2009 internship. Interviews will be conducted in November and December with a final decision made by December 28, 2008. To apply, please send your resume to hrdirector@macpas.com.
*Please note that we always recruit for internships a year in advance.*
